Giving CC0 status to Kaizen makes it the people’s project. Kaizen will be so much bigger than our team alone. It belongs to the community, it belongs to the people, it belongs to you.
We witnessed how Cryptoadz, mfers and Nouns have developed as CC0s. And we see endless possibilities for Kaizen too. Maybe one day Kaizen will be up there, rivaling big anime projects & giant companies, all from a free mint & a passionate community.
We come from a place where anime is a huge cultural phenomenon. We have friends dressing up as their favorite characters and spending hours every day creating fan art. Collectively, they have helped grow anime into what it is today but have never profited from it. And when they do profit from it to make a small living, they do so with fear of legal action from big media companies.
We don’t need any more of that in Web3.
Anime is OUR culture. It doesn’t belong to one big project, nor does it belong to an elite few. It’s time we give back ownership to anime fans, it’s time we have an anime project that is collectively owned by the fans.
